Your Coach
Where elite performance
meets radical wellness.
Internationally acclaimed musician and bassist for legendary bands including Whitesnake, Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), and Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Tanya O’Callaghan has spent two decades performing at the highest level under relentless global demand.
Having followed a plant-based lifestyle from an early age, her years on the road and passion for lifelong learning and helping others inspired her to become a certified health coach, deepening her understanding of nutritional science and sustainable wellbeing.
Today, Tanya carves out time from her life on the road to share her unique expertise with a limited number of individuals, including senior executives and leaders who are serious about taking their health into their own hands, guiding them toward transformative, lasting change with the same precision and care that sustained her on the world’s largest stages.
The Origin
For most people, your mind jumps to the martial arts term “total knockout” or “technical knockout.” But in my case, and why it became my nickname, it’s a little more rock ’n’ roll… and honestly, kind of hilarious.
I was touring with Dee Snider in 2017. We had just gotten back to our hotel after a long travel day, with a big festival show the next night. The phone in my room rings, it’s Dee.
“Hey T, what’s your middle name?”
“Uh… Marie Elizabeth. Why?”
“Well, now it’s Katherine.”
Click. He hangs up.
I just sat there thinking… well, that was random, but okay.
The next night, we’re on stage doing our thing, and Dee starts the band intros:
“On the bass… Tanya Katherine O’Callaghan—TKO! Because this woman blows up so many amps, she earned the name Technical Knockout!”
As I’m taking my bow and riffing away, I’m laughing because, obviously, that’s not my middle name. But to be fair, he wasn’t wrong. I’d had a run of shows where I’d plug in and blow up speakers left and right. In my defense, it was mostly festival backline amps that weren't well maintained; plus, I have pretty powerful preamps in my Sadowsky basses.
And that was it. TKO was born, and the name stuck.
Over the years, as I delved deeper into my own health and fitness journey, both on the road and off, the name took on a whole new meaning. It stopped being about blowing up amps and started being about pushing past your perceived limits.
Now, the TKO Method is exactly that: a system designed to challenge, empower and transform you, knocking out your old habits, doubts, and excuses along the way.
There were some key moments when I realized this couldn't stay behind the scenes.
TKO OFF STAGE
Along my own health journey while touring the globe there were some key moments when I realized this passion of mine couldn't stay behind the scenes.
I watched one of our crew reverse type 2 diabetes.
I watched my band members, their spouses, management and friends drop weight, regain their energy, and come back to life, physically and mentally.
It didn't come from a trending diet.
It didn't come from restrictions or extremes.
It came from me being there with them on the road, showing them how to make change simple, fun, consistent, and built for real life. Real transformation comes from immersion, not just information. That's why I'm so passionate about this: I live it and see the results in real time.
When you live it consistently, in the right environment, your habits don't just change, they reset at the core. That is why I now carve out time from my touring schedule to work privately with individuals or groups who are serious about taking their health into their own hands.

“What an amazing experience it’s been to have Tanya as both my bandmate and my health and wellness coach. Her infectious passion for food, making healthy choices, and staying fit is an incredibly positive influence. She makes being healthy easy and fun, on and off the road.”
Bruce Dickinson
Iron Maiden · Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
“Tanya is that rarest of creatures, an activist who it is impossible to dislike. Her rationale is backed up by evidence, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and the latter floored me. I now look forward to our vegan voyage of exploration on every tour and album.”
